        datAcron, a Sea Tech Week conference (10-14 October 2016, Brest, France) Christophe Claramunt from on Vimeo.

        Towards the real-time detection and prediction of trajectories and important events in the maritime and aviation domains
        datACRON is a research and innovation action introducing novel methods for threat and abnormal activity detection in very large fleets of moving entities, spread across large geographical areas. datAcron is a Big Data project that has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Programme. It started  January 2016.

        The project will provide advanced data management, real-time detection and prediction algorithms for trajectories and events, and visual analytics methods, over multiple heterogeneous, voluminous, fluctuating, and noisy data streams from moving entities, correlating them with archived data that express, among others, entity characteristics, geographical information, mobility patterns, regulations and intentional data (e.g. planned routes), in a timely manner.

        datACRON results will be validated and evaluated in user-defined challenges that aim at increasing the safety, efficiency and economy of operations concerning moving entities in the Air-Traffic Management and Maritime domains.

        Presentations will include:

        • datAcron overall aims;
        • Use case and scenarios to be examined, both in the maritime and the aviation domains;
        • Objectives, challenges and datAcron developments beyond the state of art regarding the management of data, analytics and visual analytics in particular.
