India, featured country of honour

In 2022, we are very pleased to invite India to be the guest of honour of Sea Tech Week®.

A unique opportunity to build and enhance cooperation among French and India actors of marine science and economy, and ocean governance.

Sea Tech Week® is the ideal forum to:

  • bring impetus to the French-Indian exchanges as envisioned on the India-France Joint Statement (visit of the Prime Minister of India to France in August 2019);
  • reinforce the scientific and academic program GoAT that Campus mondial de la mer is currently developing with the Indian Institute of Technology, Goa, on ocean technologies;
  • Lead new bilateral synergies with the ambitious “Deep Ocean Mission” launched by the Government of India;
  • highlight current Indian projects, like the Sagarmala project of port-led prosperity initiated by the Government of India;
  • More generally share experiences in both countries regarding maritime transport and the related topics: ports, maritime trade, naval industry, marine research, biodiversity, marine spatial planning, international law of the sea…

Campus mondial de la mer, the French Embassy in India, the Indian Ministry in charge of maritime transport, and the FICCI, are working together to coordinate the participation of a larger Indian delegation of experts in Sea tech Week® 2022.
