The Sea Tech Week® conference included half-day parallel sessions and 3 short plenary sessions (panel discussions) dedicated to the main theme "Maritime transport: towards smarter and greener solutions".

Parallel sessions

26-29 September, in Brest, and 30th September, in Concarneau

Organised by local and international convenors, the parallel sessions included keynotes and lectures, panel discussion, and short talks on innovative projects and research works.

27th, 28th and 29th September 2022, in the early afternoon

Plenary sessions consisted in a 1h-panel discussion about prospective topics regarding maritime transport.

Joint events

Sea Tech Week® was glad to welcome two joint-events:

  • The 18th French Congress of sedimentology
    An important momentfor the scientific community for exchange, scientific collaboration and debate of ideas around topics such as: geosciences and digital, paleo-environments, coastal environments, internal dynamics, etc.

  • The Concarneau meeting “Where industry meets science”
    A series of workshops about marine biotechnology and links between industry and academic research. This year, the meeting was focused on Biomimetics.

  • Marine Litter: Solutions for Monitoring, Mitigation and Prevention
    This workshop, third after Brest 2018 and Brest 2019, was a participatory workshop aiming at the broadening of our community and the identification of priority actions that we want to implement afterwards. The objective was to assess options for the prevention of marine litter entering the ocean and the reduction of marine debris — in particular plastics — in the ocean.
