      • The Campus mondial de la mer will host the 14th Sea Tech Week® in Brest from 15 to 17 October 2024. Held every other year, this international event attracts over a thousand participants. These include institutions, businesses, entrepreneurs, researchers and students.

Maritime Safety and Security is the theme for 2024. The event will cover topics ranging from cybersecurity, robotics, data and space technology to ports, vessels and tackling pollution.
The featured country is one with which the Campus mondial de la mer community has enjoyed strong ties for many years: Ireland.
Michel Gourtay, President of the Technopôle Brest-Iroise and Senior Vice President for Economy at Brest Métropole, explains:
“The Campus mondial de la mer community is France’s top science and marine technology community. The Sea Tech Week® is its flagship event and brings together our stakeholders from business, science, technology and major institutions to discuss the latest maritime innovations. It is also a firm fixture on the international agenda every two years: over 20% of our Sea Tech Week® participants come from outside France.
Do join us in Brest from 15 to 17 October 2024 at Le Quartz, our brand-new congress centre. We’ll take a deep dive into the heart of innovations dedicated to maritime safety and security."

A diverse programme of high-quality events

Based in Brest for over 20 years, the Sea Tech Week® has forged and strengthened international collaboration, research and innovation in marine science and technology. Among the events in this 14th Week, participants can attend expert sessions, some 30 science and technology workshops, a professional trade fair, B2B meetings and networking sessions, plus trips to visit businesses and research labs.
New for 2024: speed interviews organised together with sector bodies including France Travail, the Campus des Industries Navales (CiNav) (the job facilitator in the maritime sector), marine employment association la Touline and the industrial employment organisation for metallurgy industries and trades (UIMM).
