      • Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique is a competitiveness cluster dedicated to maritime innovation located in the west of France, in Brest.
It supports companies and research laboratories in their willingness to set up innovative and collaborative projects from the idea to funding.
Maritime transport and its related activities represent an important part of the projects that have been launched in recent years notably in relation with green ship, smart ship, ports, ship routing and so on...
This Sea Tech Week session aims to highlight the innovations carried out by Pôle Mer’s members around these fundamental subjects.
First, Erwan Jacquin, project manager at the French Maritime Cluster will present the assets, issues and challenges of the sector.
Then project leaders will present their projects and debate during 2 round tables around these topics.
The session will end with a presentation of the European project iFADO which is dealing with new technologies for the management of High Seas. The objective is to show the importance of these innovations for maritime transport in preserving the environment and achieving the good ecological status targeted by the Marine Strategy Framework Directive.
