This year's Sea Tech Week® will prominently feature Ireland as the country of honor, reflecting its growing influence and leadership in marine and offshore sectors. An Irish delegation, including the Irish Embassy in Paris, Enterprise Ireland, a state agency dedicated to the development and global growth of Irish enterprises, will be a central figure in the event, and the Marine Ireland Industry Network, a network of Irish companies, state organisations, research groups and third level institutes, working in Ireland’s ocean economy. Key Irish experts will engage in discussions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops involving Irish organizations, covering a wide range of topics:
In addition, Paul Hegarty from the National Maritime College of Ireland will contribute to the high-level sessions on maritime safety and resilience.
Sea Tech Week® is not just a showcase of Ireland's marine expertise but also a testament to the broader European and international collaboration in maritime science and technology. The event is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and organized in partnership with the European Commission, under the high patronage of the European Parliament.
In partnership with:
Several workshops during the event will delve into European-funded projects, such as SaferSEA (led by Technopôle Brest-Iroise business support organization) and SMART DEC (led by Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique competitiveness cluster). Both projects focus on decarbonizing maritime transport.
At the professional exhibition, different projects on maritime security funded by the European Union will showcase their activities. The GoGIN II project will present its maritime information-sharing and coordination platform YARIS for the Gulf of Guinea, while CRIMARIO will present its platform (IORIS) for the Indo-Pacific region. In addition, the booth will contain information about the SEACOP VI project that supports the fight against maritime illicit trafficking between Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, the ESIWA project that enhances the EU’s security cooperation in and with Asia, as well as about the SWAIMS Camões (Gulf of Guinea) and the GoBlue (Kenya) projects. This rich and comprehensive stand will be coordinated by the EnMAR project, with the objective to strengthen the visibility of EU-funded activities on maritime security. Through EnMAR, "the goal is to speak with one voice, that of the EU on maritime security across the globe," explains Emmanuelle Lécuyer, Public Diplomacy & Visibility Officer for EnMAR.

The international scope of the event is further emphasized by its alignment with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
Moreover, the long-standing partnership between Sea Tech Week® and IEEE OES, through a Memorandum of Understanding highlights the event's scientific significance. IEEE will lead two workshops on topics like marine debris cleanup and deep-sea monitoring. Note that the major event of IEEE OES in Europe (Ocean Europe) will return to Brest in 2025, 20 years after its last appearance.
With participants from countries including Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, India and Malaysia, etc., Sea Tech Week® will be a melting pot of global marine innovation, emphasizing its European roots and international reach.
